Kim Kardashian's Wedding Tiara Headpiece

Many people claim Kim Kardashian is one of the most beautiful women in the world.  She is known for her striking facial features and her stunning smokey eyes.  Her wedding sparked lots of interest, primarily from all the disappointed men; being that she had been finally been taken off the market!  Kim made some terrific wedding attire choices, and doted NOT ONE look but THREE wedding dresses!!  All three of Kim's dresses were  couture wedding dresses, and she wore over $ 15 million worth of diamonds.  Kim and husband, NBA star Kris Humphries, were featured in  PEOPLE, with 11 pages dedicated to exclusive photos, interviews, and lovely details of her big day.  The most unique look of all her wedding looks was the first look she choose to walk down the isle.  Later in her wedding, she let her hair down and changed her gown.  The first look reminded me of Cleopatra, and also had some Indian elements which must have inspired her in the design of this amazing wedding headpiece. Bridal Hairstyles: Bohemian Grecian Looks

One of the best hairstyles of the past couple years is Blake Lively's hair for Gossip Girl on the episode featuring the white party.  Her hair was loosely tossed back into a large bun of curls which were framed with braids.  The hair was styled after  looks reminiscent of the Bohemian and Grecian inspired hairstyles.   The romantic hairstyle was also accented with two stone jeweled headbands, one worn along side the braid framing the bun and another close to her forehead.  There are a number of pave set ribbon headpieces that you can purchase instead of a traditional tiara that would nicely complement this particular look.  Many of these jeweled headbands are fashioned on the back of a ribbon, and simply tied into the hair.  If the white ribbon is just too bold for your bridal look, consider just pinning in the pave set headband into the hair with bobbi pins and remove the ribbon.  Another option is to make a small ribbon out of clear veil tulle instead of white ribbon which can also hold the jewels in place.  (Read More.....)

Elizabethan Pearl Wedding Tiaras

The high adventure whimsical 1987 film "The Princess Bride" told a story of beauty  and the romance that brought two people together in love.   The film itself was certainly charming, but the costumes stole the show.  The Princess bride wore a silver crown of flowers which were combined with pearls positioned in the center of the flowers.  The crown was particularly enchanting, and at some angles it looked as if it was combined with real flowers.  Elizabethan jewelry captures the essense of grand luxury as jewelry was anything but plain.  16 century jewelry often featured stones with primitive cuts that we don't see  in today's market.   In the 16th century, jewelry featured gems with simpler cuts, often oval or square in shape.  Diamonds were cut much like a pyramid, where the shape is cut like a pointed gem.   Although, these primitive cuts are hard to find in todays market, pearls at that time were just as much as much of a showcase as gems were.  Pearls staged themselves in brilliant gold and were also sewn onto clothing and were most commonly used to decorate hair.  Dyeable Deals sells a beautiful tiara (3154) which features gold flowers and is accented with white pearls giving this tiara a look much like the princess bride crown, except nicer!  Dyeable features a number of stunning floral tiaras which can be ordered in gold and silver.  (Read More.....)
