Famous Fred Leighton jewlery has been the most popular jeweler for the stars lending out his antique jewlery for red carpet events which in trade has made him well known around the world for his excusite jewlery. Murray Mondschein, the man behind the name bought a Mexican artifacts store in New York in 1959 which sold sold arts and crafts.  He wasn't initially in the jewelry business, until a victorian jewelry dealer gave him some items to sell, and it was then when he realized antique jewlery fetched quite a bit of moeny.  Mondschein began traveling abroad buying up all the jewels that belonged to European aristocrats and in 1974, he moved his business uptown, and began selling his vintage jewels to wealthy women.  Today Fred Leighton is a widely recongized name.
